About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Communication & Project Assistant to support daily operations, internal coordination, stakeholder communication, and participation in European-level projects.
This role offers hands-on experience working with European partners and project networks, contributing to EU-funded initiatives and supporting strategic activities in a multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project support & coordination
- Track EU calls, tenders and funding opportunities; prepare structured weekly summaries and recommendations
- Maintain an organised dashboard for deadlines, partners and ongoing opportunities.
- Support proposal development through formatting, consistency checks, document structuring and data gathering.
- Prepare professional follow-up emails, action lists and reminders to ensure smooth coordination with partners and collaborators.
Partnership Development
- Build and maintain a pool of relevant partner organisations across Europe, particularly those active in EU-funded programmes and initiatives.
- Conduct outreach to introduce Methodora’s expertise and explore collaboration opportunities.
- Monitor partnership calls and ongoing project ideas where Methodora or its clients could participate.
- Support all communication and coordination efforts required to facilitate new partnerships and strengthen existing connections.
Communication & visibility
- Assist with website updates, content adjustments and uploads
- Create basic visuals or layouts for announcements and social content (using Canva or similar tools)
- Prepare short communication pieces, announcements or updates when needed.
- Communicate professionally with potential stakeholders to support ongoing or upcoming collaborations.
Administrative & organisational support
- Maintain internal documentation, filing, and knowledge management systems (Google Drive/Notion/Asana)
- Support event and workshop preparation, including participant lists, materials, and simple logistics.
- Assist with scheduling, preparing meeting minutes, and maintaining internal organisation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented assistant who can support multiple workstreams and maintain clarity across tasks. The ideal candidate brings strong research abilities, clear communication skills, and a structured approach to coordination in a remote-first environment.
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams (EU calls, tenders, communication tasks, internal follow-ups).
- Strong research capacity, including the ability to scan EU funding opportunities, analyse eligibility criteria, summarise documents, and prepare structured briefings.
- Experience or a strong interest in EU-funded projects, proposal preparation, or consultancy workflows (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, CERV, LIFE, etc.).
- Very good command of English and French (written and spoken).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency when handling documents, deadlines, and partner communication.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and proactively prepare information that supports decision-making.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace, MS Office, Trello/Asana/Notion, Zoom/Teams, and basic design tools (Canva).
- Strong communication skills for preparing short messages, follow-up emails, and partner coordination.
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) EU policy areas such as sustainability, climate change, digitalisation, education, and innovation.
- A valid residence and work permit in Belgium (mandatory).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive organisational information responsibly.
